bookwebbannerDare To Take Charge!

Interactive as well as inspirational, DARE TO TAKE CHARGE challenges the reader to ask self-reflective questions that lead to moments of self-discovery and a defined pathway to healing. Daring her audience to study the positive with the same interest and intensity that they study the negative, Judge Hatchett uncovers the potential for grace and success in lives that are now punctuated with despair and unfaithfulness.

Living Your Dream
Are most dreams unrealistic or simply unrealized? What can I do to get closer to living my dream?
It depends on both the dream and the dreamer. Those who dream about winning the lottery or marrying their favorite Hollywood celebrity will find that their dreams are probably pretty unrealistic! Other than obvious far-fetched fantasies, many will find that their dreams are often left unrealized.

Expect the Best
Expect the best from those you love and offer your best in return
I don't believe it's enough to love a child and leave it at that or for that child to receive love and give nothing but his own love in return. No. It starts there, in our house, but it doesn't end there.

Wisdom
Read Judge Hatchetts tips for helping kids cope when disaster strikes.
Simply put, we all need to talk to our teens as much as possible, even when it seems they don't want to participate. With this age group, it is important to answer all questions honestly, but with reassurance. It is also helpful to inquire about your teen's opinion and listen to their answers.

What are we prepared to do, now and here, that will last? As chief presiding judge of one of the largest juvenile court systems in the country, I've gained a front-row perspective on today's hot-button social issues.  This website is a guidepost on what we can do to be successful, both at home and at work, in these uncertain times.
