The focus of the summit was to strengthen and expand partnership... On October 11, 2006, I was a guest at The Chatham-Savannah Youth's Authority Sixth Annual Community Summit where this year's theme was "Building a Community for Healthy Youth Development". The focus of the summit was to strengthen and expand partnership efforts in developing the executing action plans that address the issues facing our community's children, youth, and their families - specifically in the areas of education and juvenile crime. I was honored to be in the presence of so many who share the commitment to improving children's chances for growing up healthy, becoming well educated in supportive families and becoming free of at-risk behaviors.
